Another update and “soft wipe” – details of changes on our server

🔥 Greetings, esteemed members of Echelon UA! 🔥

Ready for some news? 😏 As you know, we have a game update coming, and with it, a soft wipe! 💥 Yes, yes, you’ll have to say goodbye to all your hard-earned loot (except for your characters, in-game gold, and bot coins, of course). But don’t worry! This is a great opportunity to start fresh, especially since the official game release is just around the corner. That’s when we’ll reset the bot coins, so everyone starts on equal footing.

Every wipe is not just a reset, but also a chance to make our server even better! 🚀 We carefully monitor your feedback, analyze gameplay, and, of course, make changes. Our goal is to create a fair, just, and exciting game for each of you. We strive to develop the community as a whole, rather than playing favorites or catering to our own “egos” 😎.

So, what awaits you? 🤔 Let me tell you about the most important changes we want to see on our server and what we plan to combat:

We’re not fans of drastic changes, so this time we’ll stick to small, but important adjustments. The main task is to balance those moments that we’ve noticed in the server’s life. I won’t list all the minor details, I’ll focus only on the most important things that you often ask about:

  • Map: The zones on the map remain unchanged. We like how everything works now, and how you, our brave players, travel its expanses. 🗺️
  • Anti-Cheat: The developers have announced a new system, but we’re not sleeping either! 👀 As before, VPNs are prohibited on our server. But if you have valid reasons to use a VPN, contact us – we will consider your situation individually.
  • Fame: We see that there are many players in the top with thousands of fame points. The game mechanics don’t provide significant advantages for such a quantity, so we’re slightly adjusting the fame gain coefficient:
    • Fame gain for regular actions remains as on the official server.
    • Fame loss from normal death (zombies, fire, falling, etc.) – at the lowest coefficient of 0.05.
    • Changes relate to PvP:
      • Kill: +0.1 fame coefficient (was 0.2).
      • Death: -0.1 fame coefficient (was 0.1).
    • Now fame points won’t appear out of thin air, but will only be fairly redistributed among players.

  • Kill Penalties (so you don’t farm fame on teammates 😉):
    • Killing a player: -1000 coins (was 500).
    • Killing a squadmate: -2000 coins (was 500).
    • Death from an enemy: -500 coins.
  • Respawn (to add a bit of spice to travels):
    • Random square: 100 coins (was 250). We care about newbies! 🤗
    • Sector: 1000 coins (was 500).
    • Shelter: No change (1 gold).
    • Negative balance: -10000 coins (was -7500).
  • Summary of fame, penalties, and respawn: We don’t want you to be afraid of death. Our goal is to make bonus accrual clearer and more understandable. 👌
  • Vehicles at Traders (goodbye, cheaters! 😈): Previously, we allowed storing vehicles for 24 hours in case of power outages or air raids. But many simply abused this mechanic to avoid PvP. Therefore, we’re returning to the standard timer – 2 hours. Vehicles and chests at the trader will be automatically deleted after 2 hours.
  • Traders: The economy on the server is working great! 💪 Players earn easily, especially at the trader in B4. Therefore, the main prices remain unchanged, with only a slight rebalancing, which you most likely won’t even notice. Adjustments will be made according to your wishes and feedback. The more money you have, the less you fear losing your gear, which means more action and killfeed messages! There are already over 20 millionaires on the server and around 70 players with 500k+ coins. Engaging in a fight at an airdrop isn’t so scary now. 😉
  • Mines on Roads: As before mines are not allowed on the roads, but also, from now on, you are not allowed to place mines directly near the road. We’ve frequently seen players with high ping, or due to desync, drift a millimeter off the road and explode in their vehicles. Therefore, if your base is near a road, you must now keep a distance from the road to avoid breaking the rules. We do not want to force you to run around with measuring tapes and special map services, so we picked “Rager” as a measure unit. There must be the space of one pickup between a mine and a road.

🚧 And now the most interesting part – SERVER RULES! 🚧

We constantly observe you, our players: how you build bases, what you do, how you raid, and, of course, whether you break the rules. And, as practice shows, there are always rule-breakers. 😅

We do not seek to create rigid frameworks and huge rule books similar to a criminal code. On the contrary, we want to give you more freedom in choosing your entertainment on our server. But there are points that need to be limited for the comfortable play of all community members:

  • Some rules will be simplified or rephrased (for example, communication rules). The essence will not change, but the text will become clearer.
  • Important change: We are returning to the land vehicle limit: 1 player – 1 vehicle. Currently, the rules allow each player to have 1 car and 1 additional vehicle, but most still drive together in one car. The other cars just sit at the base and often disappear after 2 weeks. We know that the game is still being tested, and a large number of vehicles puts a strain on both the server and the game client. With this rule, we will slightly reduce the load.
  • Airplane Rules (clarification for aviation enthusiasts):

Let’s review the rules regarding aircraft to avoid any misunderstandings. We want the rules to be as transparent and fair as possible for everyone.

5.2. Aircraft: Restrictions and Clarifications

  • Main Rule: Each squad (regardless of whether it’s PvP or PvE) is entitled to own only one (1) aircraft.

  • No Exceptions: It is strictly forbidden to have more than one aircraft on the territory controlled by your flag, or nearby. The purpose of holding an additional aircraft does not matter: sale, exchange, capture, training, temporary assistance – all of this is considered a violation.

  • What to do with a “Trophy” Aircraft?: If you obtained an aircraft from another player (for example, by hacking), and your squad already has one aircraft, the captured one automatically becomes yours. You have 2 hours to dispose of it: sell it, destroy it, or do something else with it that does not involve its further use by your squad.

  • Aircraft Sales Rules: If you have put an aircraft up for sale, it must be located on the runway of any trader. Using it for any other purpose besides sale is prohibited.

  • Aircraft Transfer: If you want to sell or gift an aircraft to another player, you can only do so with your sole aircraft. Only after transferring the aircraft can you obtain a new one.

  • Penalties for Violations:

    • If you exceed the aircraft limit, the administration has the right to remove any of your aircraft.
    • Players who systematically violate the aircraft limit rule may be banned from using aircraft on our server.

We’re all for fair play and equal opportunities for everyone. Follow these simple rules, and the sky will be open to you! 🛩️

  • Twinks/Playing from the Same IP: Players who play together must be in the same squad. No exceptions! 🙅‍♂️
  • Griefing: Any malicious actions are prohibited. What is griefing? Google it! 😉
  • Insults and Accusations: If you believe someone is breaking the rules, report it to us via a ticket. Don’t start arguments in chat. 🤫

Important! We don’t want to put you or ourselves in rigid frameworks. Therefore, all changes on the server are not final. We will gladly listen to your feedback, see how everything works in practice, and, perhaps, change or add something. The admins here work on a voluntary basis, and working on the server is our hobby. Therefore, we are grateful to everyone who supports us and helps! ❤️

Invite your friends, play together, and good luck! 👍

Sincerely,

The Echelon UA Team
