Game Updates & Improvements
January kicked off in full festive mode—even though by month’s end, those incessant Christmas bells were starting to get on our nerves. But we’ve got great news: a fresh update has been released that not only removed the splash screen but also brought a host of positive changes to the game.
- Helmets are back to working correctly.
- A critical bug with the turrets, which had been causing issues on our server, has been fixed.
Feel free to load the turrets with anything and everything—experiment boldly and enjoy the game!
Record-Breaking Server Success
Our ranking success is both inspiring and exhilarating! This month, we shattered our own record as our server clinched the 155th spot out of 5709 SCUM servers. Such an achievement is both a great joy and a huge responsibility, especially since we never imagined reaching these heights in just a few short months. Together, we are making history!
Of course, as our success grows, so does the envy from those who can’t stand to see our smiles. We regularly receive complaints about slander aimed at our admin team, individual players, or even the entire community. But remember: we remain strong and determined—nothing can stop us!
Security Milestone
Over the past two months, thanks to our stellar hosting provider, we successfully repelled a massive DDoS attack. They neutralized 324 TB of DDoS traffic with a peak load of 202 Gbps over a 7-day period. This incredible feat is a testament to our community’s resilience—we truly work powerfully and unbreakably!
Events of the Month
We hosted several electrifying events this January, including:

- Gladiator Fights in the Arena

Looking Ahead
We’re already hard at work on several exciting updates:
- Loot Balancing: We’re planning to tweak the item spawn mechanics for a more balanced and logical distribution. You might not notice the changes immediately, but trust us—balance makes all the difference!
- Container Hacking Rewards: Given the low interest in airdrops, we’re revamping the reward system for container hacks. Stay tuned for the announcement, and in the meantime, gather your screwdrivers and ready your weapons—because in SCUM, it’s all about: “Shoot first, ask questions later!”
Also, get ready for a few new contests this month where you’ll need to put your wits to the test, show true team spirit, and maybe even find yourself in a hilariously “hostage” situation!
