The release of the SCUM game is just around the corner, with less than two days left. We have previously described the fundamental changes, but now we will add a few more details. However, considering that the game and servers will receive many changes and new parameters, there is a high probability that we will introduce many changes after the release.
General Changes
- Full wipe – everything from a clean slate. All characters, their stats, and savings have been deleted due to the full release of the game.
- Discord coins have been reset for two important reasons:
- Since a fresh cohort of newcomers will arrive with the release, we want the start of the new SCUM to be on equal and fair terms for everyone.
- We have changed the economy and our vision on certain things as a whole, so the game’s release was the perfect opportunity to implement this.
- The welcome pack has been slightly redesigned. Don’t forget to claim it!
- The range of daily packs has been expanded, but all food products have been removed from them – to give survival more meaning. All items included in the current packs are mostly for entertainment and do not affect the game as significantly as food.
- From the moment of the game’s release, the policy of compensation for losses due to technical problems has been partially canceled. The game is in release, which means there should be no problems due to early access. However, if a vehicle itself is lost due to technical problems, we will be able to help.
Map and Zones
- The map with sectors has been updated. There is now one PvE zone, covering square B4 (with an exception for a separate zone with a bunker where PvP Melee only rules apply).
- Traders in C2 and Z3 now function as a black market where melee combat is allowed. Their assortment is much wider than that of the traders at the A0 and B4 outposts, which remain completely safe zones.
- For the sake of aesthetics, the Samobor square has acquired more rounded shapes.
PvP
- Flag capture is now excluded. You don’t have to worry if someone touches it.
Rules
- Changes in point 7.3 – it is now possible to build under large walls.
- 7.6 has been supplemented with a clarification regarding flag zones in the PvE zone, which must not extend beyond its borders.
- 8.2 has been changed – in the PvE zone, it is forbidden to lock or build up NPC structures. Buildings must be free for looting.
That’s all the changes for now, based on the current parameters. After the release, when we have full access to the final version of the game, we will inform you about other systems and updates.
We wish you a pleasant game on our server Echelon – may luck be on your side!
